# Email notifications

> Which emails Botdoor sends: claim links, password resets, approval requests, posted and failed notices, reconnect alerts and the daily digest.

Source: https://docs.botdoor.co/concepts/email-notifications/

Botdoor emails come from **hello@botdoor.co** to your account's address. Choose them in **Settings → Email**.

| Email | When | Can turn off |
|---|---|---|
| Claim your workspace | A bot signed you up | No |
| Reset your password | You asked for it | No |
| A post is waiting for approval | At most one email every 10 minutes | Yes |
| A post went live | With links to each network | Yes |
| A post failed | With the reason and a Retry link | Yes |
| An account needs reconnecting | A network stopped accepting posts | Yes |
| Daily digest instead of instant | 08:00 your time, skipped when there is nothing | Opt in |

With the digest on, approvals and posts arrive together in one email; failures and reconnects stay instant. Your time zone comes from your browser when you save settings or sign in.

Text from your bot (captions, names) is shown with links disabled, for example `evil[.]com`, so an email can't carry a link your bot wrote.

## Common questions

### Why didn't I get an email?

Check spam and Settings → Email. Approval emails are limited to one every 10 minutes.

### Can I stop all emails?

You can turn off every notice except claim links and password resets, which you asked for.

### What time is the digest sent?

08:00 in your time zone, only on days with something to report.

### Why do links in the email look like example[.]com?

Text written by a bot is defanged so it can't become a clickable link in your inbox.
