# Workspaces

> A Botdoor workspace holds your connected social accounts, API keys, posts and plan. One person owns it.

Source: https://docs.botdoor.co/concepts/workspaces/

A **workspace** is your Botdoor account. It contains:

- the social accounts you connected ([Accounts](https://docs.botdoor.co/concepts/accounts/)),
- the API keys your bots use ([API keys](https://docs.botdoor.co/concepts/api-keys/)),
- every post and upload,
- the plan and its limits ([Plans and limits](https://docs.botdoor.co/concepts/plans-and-limits/)).

A key only ever acts on its own workspace. Nothing is shared between workspaces.

## How a workspace starts

- **A bot signs you up** with your email ([Sign-up and claim](https://docs.botdoor.co/bots/signup-and-claim/)). It is *unclaimed* until you open the emailed link and set a password. Unclaimed workspaces can't publish or connect accounts and are deleted after 7 days.
- **Browser sign-up** at botdoor.co/signup, when it is open. Those workspaces are claimed from the start.

## Settings

**Settings** shows the workspace name, plan, account usage and posts this month, your email notification choices and a change-password form.
