# Post to Bluesky with Botdoor

> How to connect Bluesky to Botdoor and what your bot can post: media, captions, first comments, threads, polls and covers.

## Connect
Enter your handle and an app password (Settings → App passwords on Bluesky) on Botdoor's Bluesky page. In Botdoor: **Accounts → Connect account → Bluesky**. A bot cannot start a Bluesky connection (`400 connect_requires_human`); a person connects it on the Accounts page.

### Can my bot post to Bluesky through Botdoor?

Yes. Connect a Bluesky account, then pass its id in accountIds. With an ask-first key you approve each post first.

### Does Bluesky need media?

No. Text-only posts work.

### Can I add a link in a first comment on Bluesky?

No. Put the link in the post text instead.

### Is my Bluesky password stored?

Use an app password, not your main password. You can revoke it on Bluesky at any time.
